Dear Males,

Dear Boys, "Men", and All males of the world,

Every Month, as a woman, we go through something called "Menstruation." If you think you know what pain, being uncomfortable, and plain terrible feels like... well.. ya dont.. your not a woman and therefore have never gone through this. So Males of the world....when this is happening...be nice to us...be comforting....because to be honest its the suckiest thing that has ever happened to women!!!!

Ok so clearly im going through that right now (I know you all wanted to know). And well.. I'm supposed to be on my detox...but right now ALL I WANT IS CHOCOLATE. And since I'm feeling like such shit.. who am I to to say "NO CHOCOLATE!"..I KNOW I HAVE NO RIGHT TO DENY MYSELF THIS INDULGENCE....RIGHT?!?!?! you better Know that I DID NOT. I have had plenty of chocolate today and have loved every second of it.
To be honest I havent been very hungry other than for chocolate today (ya its bad) so For breakfast I had a bowl of cereal...and Chocolate a few times during the day...and an apple... that is it....

so now.. I will go and watch tv...curse the fact that us women must go through this... and hope that tomorrow is a better day (and probably have a few more vegan chocolate chips...!!)

RAARRRR!!!!

hahah sorry for the silly post... tomorrow i'll be back to my glowing wonderful self i promise

Hahaha! I go through the chocolate thing about 3 days before (and 2 days before, and 1 day before). All I want to eat all day long is chocolate and chocolate and chocolate! Feel better soon!

You are too funny! Unfortunately, I'm sure most of us can relate. :P Have you ever tried raw cacao? I like making chocolate smoothies - it really nixes that chocolate craving PLUS you're getting raw minerals that can help with those cranky feelings. Just a thought.

It's so cool that your mom is vegetarian! Did she go veg when you went vegan? She'll have no problem eating meat free up here - practically every "normal" restaurant around has at least one vegetarian option on the menu. It's pretty common up here. Vegans have it a little tougher simply because everything tends to be dairy heavy - we are in cow country, after all!

You can certainly add me to your blog roll - I'd be honored! I've already added you to mine. :-)

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you! Of course you can add me to your roll :) I always forget to update the one on blogspot, but I have like 6billion blogs I add to my google reader, if you dont have it, get it, makes it all so easy. google.com/reader

And totally go for the chocolate, its too damn good to not have. Plus you deserve it. You're going through a tough bit. Take care!

The macaroons are so good - you must try them! Since the recipe is not my own, I probably shouldn't be posting it, but shoot an email over to me (katihaskins AT gmail DOT com) and I'd be more than happy to send it to you that way.

Those chocolate cravings are evil aren't they?
If there is any time that chocolate needs to be indulged in though, it's 'that time of the month'. So indulge away!

Sometimes it's okay to give in to your cravings, especially when you're raggin'. Besides, I'm assuming you're eating dark chocolate since you're vegan and dark chocolate is full of good-for-you stuff, like antioxidants. So eat up.

I actually eat one little square of dark chocolate every day as a supplement because of the antioxidants...I think of it like a vitamin...a really tasty one.

this post is just plain awesome.

does your boyfriend eat a lot of korean food too? haha, I probably eat more korean food over the summer when I have time to make it than I eat any other type of food.

this summer is going to be AWESOME because i'll actually be in korea!

I have a rule -- a long-standing rule.

On the first day of my period, I am allowed to eat whatever I want, and it doesn't "count." So there!
