IM BACKKKK!!!

HI FRIENDS!!!

Well Im back from my show :) Im sad that its over, but glad to have a life back for atleast three more weeks.

Well, I kept up with my vegan diet while I was there, but i didnt eat anything interesting or exciting. I ate a lot of morning star veggie burgers, salads, soup, cereal, and amy's meals...mostly anything that was quick and easy.

Well for some good news.. my mother has gone vegan!!! Her cholesterol has lowered dramatically and has seen a significant weight loss. Im so proud of her :)

My mothers personal trainer is a raw vegan and has been extremely helpful with information with our diets. She found this article and sent it out to her clients. Im not sure how i feel about it. In summary, this doctor thinks that adding a small amount of eggs (once in a while) or fish oil to a vegan diet is helpfull in sustaining strength, stamina, What do you think?

well thats all for now... i cant wait to get back to cooking!!!!

Great to have you back! Good job on sticking with the vegan thing even though not having a lot of time for meal prep and such, and that's neat about your mom becoming vegan. AND seeing serious health benefits from it!

Awesome news about your mom! That article is really interesting; I think everyone just needs to do what works for their own body. I just know I love being vegan :)

Yay! Your back! I've missed your blog to, I'm actually not in dorms in living in an apartment. I love it because freshmen dorms don't have kitchens.

Its great to hear that your mom's vegan to!I'm sure you will introduce her to some great food.

Aw, we missed you! Welcome back. And great news about your mom! As for the eggs and fish oil, I'm sure they have health benefits (omega-3's, etc.), but for me, it's an ethical issue. There are definitely vegans for health and vegans for ethics. For me, the healthy stuff is an added bonus.

Good to have you back!

Nice to hear about your Mum too :)

Welcome back, and congrats to your mum! I haven't read the article, but I've heard the argument before... so long as you're getting the appropriate nutrients, there is absolutely no justifiable reason why they have to come from fish or eggs. Especially when the nutrients from those cruelty-filled items can be easily obtained from plant sources!
