A Rockin Rockette!

Well...rehearsals have been CRAZY!!! as of tomorrow we will have learned the entire show!! thats 9 numbers of eye high kick goodness! Other than my body hurting and my brain full of numbers, travels, choreography of every kind, and christmas melodies, im having a great time! People ask me all the time if we all really get along... and the answer is USUALLY. Its hard with 34 girls together 24/7 but I really have made some life long friends. heres a pic of me and two new Rockettes.. I LOVE THEM!!!

I am super excited becuase our caterer (yes we have a caterer traveling with us as well to provide all of our meals!) has been notified that me and one other cast member are vegans.. and he has agreed to have options for us! HORRAYYY!!!! they also told me that they would be willing to hold onto my hemp protein and rice milk... ( since i dont do soy!) im sos os os os oso sos happy! im really glad that I have stayed true to myself through out this journey (so far) Its really important to stick to your morals and values. It's so easy to compromise.. BUT I DONT WANT TO!

Your a perfect example of sticking to veganism in tough situations, yay!

Its great there's another vegan there to!

Awesome how there's another vegan. Strength in numbers! I hope your caterer pulls though. In my experience, they are used to accomodating much, MUCH more difficult diets so the vegan one isn't actually too bad. But we all know that. :-)

It's great that they're willing to accomodate you. But what's even more great is your attitude about not compromising your values! You rock! And the photo is beautiful!

About the Scott Jurek article: I don’t think you can get the article online :o(
I tried to google it, and nothing came up. But you can always go to Barnes and Nobles and read it there (seriously, people there stand around and look through the magazines all the time without buying one!)

Ooh wait, ignore my last comment! I found it!
It's on pages 5 and 6. Here's the link to page 6:

Yay for sticking to your values!! I'm so happy that you will be able to be a vegan while on stage!

And that's so cool that you found another vegan.. it's great to have someone else who eats like you. :-)

Good luck with all that you have going on! I know you will be GREAT and all this hard work will pay off!

Oh, question: are you performing in Chicago anytime, by any chance?

You look so pretty! I'm so excited that the caterer is going to accomodate you, too. That should make your life a lot easier!

About hemp milk... I'm still trying to find the perfect things to put it in so I can still taste it's yumminess, since it is a lot more flavorful than soymilk. I used my last carton to make different kinds of breakfast oatmeal pudding, in granola, straight up plain with dessert, and to make a latte with my espresso machine. It way waaaay too strong to drink a glass plain, so I'm thinking smoothies may be the perfect place for it? It makes oatmeal a lot sweeter and more vanilla-y, too. I'm not sure I liked it with granola though...and it doesn't foam well for lattes... If you come up with ideas for using it, I'd love to hear!

Good for you for sticking with what you believe in! That's cool that there is another vegan in the group. You guys look like you're having fun, even though I bet you're exhausted from all that work!

Good to know you are having lots of fun! You are amazingly committed to your passions, and that is very admirable. I just think it's awesome that you aren't the only vegan in the group! Hooray for vegans!

That's great that there's another vegan to commiserate with and a caterer that understands your food preferences. I must try this hemp milk and hemp protein I've been reading about! Those chia seeds look interesting too.
