More raw food...ish... and exciting goodies!!

Well my computer is back! HORRAY!!!!!

Well as I promised, I'm going to share some of the goodies that I got at whole foods.

First... apricot seeds!
They look like nuts... and taste like nuts! (well what I would think nuts would taste like)
For anyone who is allergic to nuts... TRY THESE! theyre a little on the pricey side, but they make you feel like your having something completly new

NEXT IS THE RaW FOOD BAR!!
Its really great!! the first one in sprouted pumpkin seeds, sprouted flax seeds, ground dates,
raw agave nectar and celtic sea salt
The Green one is Sprouted sesame seeds, banana, coconut, date and spirulina (whatever that is!)
Both are completely organic and completely raw!!! theyre actually really tasty... i took
the pumpkin one to work and i wasnt even hungry when I got to dinner (and as i said i dont get a lunch break!) TOTALLY AWESOME!!!

ATTENTION ATTENTION!!!
Today I discovered that Im NOT allergic to pistachios!!!! HORRAY!!!!!!!! they are soooo delish! I cant believe what I've been missing!!! (Here are some raw Pistachios)

NEXT COMES THE SPROUTS!!!!!!
My mom's personal trainer suggested that we try and sprout Sunflower seeds.... THEYRE SOOOOO BEAUTIFUL!!! we're waiting for them to get a little bit longer...but here are some in the process

NEXT!!!!
(HAHA i know this post is kinda of a jumble of EVERYTHING!!!)
Today I made raw Chili!!!! The recipe is on Goneraw.com
It was actually REALLY GREAT!!! I had to warm it up just a little bit (I just get nauseous sometimes when I eat completely raw...but I dont think I did it over 120 degrees..it was kind of luke warm...but DEF AWESOME!!! I SUGGEST EVERYONE MAKE IT!!!

I definitely dont feel as puffy lately! (haha that sounds so silly) but i think being more conscious about what I'm
putting in my body is making me feel great!

OK time for a run!!!

Don't you just LOVE Whole Foods?! :o)...Your outlook towards food is so inspiring...it's hard to get in the habit of being aware of what we put in our bodies, but you seem to do a great job!

We do have a lot in common!! That's amazing you're a Rockette! I've wanted to go watch a show live in NY for so long! Good luck with it all! Working in labor and delivery is my second choice, next to pediatrics, when I become a nurse...I can't wait to do clinicals in that unit next year! Of course you can add me...I am just about to add you as well! :0)
PS...I might be asking you for some tennis tips!

Mmmm, pistachios... I love them!
Interesting that you sometimes feel a bit nauseous with raw food, the same happens to me, maybe it's normal...

I've never heard of eating apricot seeds. Live and learn! Thanks! :) And glad your computer is back!

To answer your question on my last post-- yeah, I run in the mornings. It's WAY too hot to run any other time around here! I don't set my alarm, but I pretty much wake up on my own by 7 every morning, then I'll have a quick snack/breakfast and then go out the door :o)

Oh my gosh, I just got into pistachios too, like a few days ago :o). They're so yummy! It's so cool you just discovered them too-- now we can be pistachio twins!

I love making sprouts! I can't even bring myself to buy them anymore now that I know how easy it is to grow them.

On the raw nausea, I get that a little bit too. But I think mine stems from a bad memory. The day after my first monthly raw food detox back in March, I came down with the flu. And though I'm sure it was a total coincidence, it makes me a little sick-ish when I've done more recent detoxes.

I've seen those raw food bars at Whole Foods but I haven't tried them yet. I think I'll give it a try! Spirulina is a "superfood". It is loaded with pretty much every single awesome vitamin and mineral. Its a moss, and very tasty. Try the kombucha with spirulina in it....very good for you!

I love those raw pistachios. I get ones with chipotle powder and also the cilantro/lime ones. Sooooo good!

Your sunflower sprouts look great! They are very tasty. Good luck with the raw food. Love your new haircut, too! :D

I thought it was funny that the two raw bars I got from vegan essentials.com were the same as you! I haven't tried them yet. The green spirulina bar seems a tad dried out to me in the package. I had an almost entirely raw day yesterday myself - I love to eat raw. I order from Glaser Farms all the time - they are great! I've got raw California Bread int he fridge right now.

I'm curious about how your sunflower sprouts turned out. Do tell!

I've never seen apricot seeds, they look so fun! I'm glad you aren't allergic to pistachios too, IMO those are the best nuts in the world! So good!

I love those raw bars! The spirulina one tastes like bananas. You can barely taste the spirulina (which is a green algae, very very good for you).
